Local Content Vehicle
Oceanic Consultants is a preferred Local Content Vehicle (LCV) partner to major oil and gas companies in Nigeria. We have a fully established and vetted network to identify and secure contractors who will meet LCV requirements.
Oceanic is registered as an LCV company with the Nigerian Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) and the Nigerian Petroleum Exchange (NIPEX), a division of NAPIMS, a corporate service unit of NNPC.
The Oceanic rating in NIPEX is category “A” and only one of three LCV local engineering firms in Nigeria with an ISO 9001-2008 certification for Project Management, Oil & Gas Engineering, Manpower and Procurement for Power Development, and Oil & Gas business areas.

Oil Spill Equipment and Services
Oceanic Consultants acts as a local content vehicle and exclusive representative in Nigeria for oil spill equipment manufactured in the USA. Specifically, Oceanic Consultants represents ABASCO and Oil Mop LLC.
Oceanic is currently staging a local inventory of cleanup and remediation equipment for Lagos Harbor and Port Harcourt.
Engineering (Onshore and Offshore)
Oceanic Consultants provides complete engineering and logistics solutions through a team of highly qualified engineers, consultants and associates. With training and experience in a wide variety of engineering disciplines, our professionals can assist clients with oil & gas projects from start-up to commissioning of facilities.
Oceanic is also one of the few companies that have supplied front-end drilling engineering personnel on a seconded basis to major oil companies setting up operations in West Africa.
Oceanic has geologists, geophysicists, subsea engineers and HSE personnel readily available from the local market.
Oceanic’s association with AKER SOLUTIONS in Nigeria also gives the company access to subsea equipment, installation and service capabilities.

Manpower
Oil and gas projects require mobilization of specialized talent to remote areas. As an outsourcing partner, Oceanic Consultants can provide turnkey solutions to deliver the manpower required to meet specific project needs.
Oceanic has access to over 112 qualified engineering and construction personnel, degreed and all individually with over 10 years experience - all were contracted for the Oyo project and worked directly for Oceanic.
We have contract and procurement personnel in Port Harcourt for NAOC and offshore inspectors and corrosion specialists on contract supporting Chevron Nigeria. Engineering staff has also recently been contracted to NETCO. Geologists and geophysicists are contracted to other major oil and gas companies in West Africa.
Procurement
Oceanic Consultants is committed to source and deliver a wide variety of items used in the oil & gas industry at competitive prices within the shortest possible time.
Oceanic has procured major construction vessels to support the offshore oil and gas development activities of Allied Energy and Nigerian Agip Exploration. Oceanic has also procured subsea flow lines from Technip and subsea equipment from Aker.
All procurement is executed under ISO 9001-2008 processes with complete transparency for all our clients.
