Allied Energy Nigeria Management
Mickey Lawal is Vice Chairman for Nigerian operations for CAMAC. Mr. Lawal began his career more than 20 years ago as an accountant. He joined CAMAC’s Allied Energy Corporation in 1988, rose to the position of Vice President, Finance and was subsequently transferred to Nigeria in 1991 as the Group Executive Director, Finance and Administration. In 1992, he was promoted to the position of Managing Director, with responsibility for overseeing oil and gas operations for all CAMAC upstream and downstream divisions. In 2010, he was promoted to Vice Chairman. Mr. Lawal is a graduate of Harvard University’s Advance Management Program. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Texas Southern University.
Kio Clement Bestmann
Kio Bestmann is an Executive Director of Allied Energy Plc.
Kio started his career in 1972 with the Rivers State Ministry of Education, and then moved to the Rivers State Ministry of Sports in 1976 where he served as Secretary of the Rivers State School Management Boards in Port Harcourt. He later worked with the United Nations – London and from there joined the Nigerian High Commission in London as an analyst programmer in 1982. Upon his return to Nigeria, he joined Allied Bank Nigeria Limited as a computer manager and later rose to the position of Assistant General Manager. In 1993, he became an Executive Director in African Continental Bank Plc. He also served in government in different capacities before joining CAMAC in 2009. Mr. Bestmann has attended several Managerial and Information Technology trainings in the United States and United Kingdom.

Executive Director (Accounts and Finance)
Adekunle Alli is the Executive Director (Accounts and Finance) responsible for the group’s financial activities. He started his career with the firm of Ernst & Whinney in 1984 as Senior Accountant and in May 1985 joined Mobil Oil Nigeria Plc in the Finance and Services Department. He progressed through Accounting and Internal Audit positions and in 1993 was appointed Manager Internal Audit. He held other managerial positions in the company in Controllers, Treasury and Operations Departments and in January 2000 was appointed Controller/ Finance Director for Mobil Oil Ghana Limited. He also managed the company’s high profile real estate portfolio on return in January 2005 through 2009. He attended several managerial and leadership courses in Nigeria, Europe and the United States of America. Kunle qualified as a chartered accountant in May 1983.
Adeleke “Leke” Solanke
Company Secretary/ Legal Officer to the Nigerian Group
Adeleke Solanke is the Company Secretary/ Legal Officer to the Nigerian Group. He is responsible for coordinating all legal activities within Nigeria including company secretarial and provides legal services to other jurisdictions where the Company operates. Adeleke began his career in the corporate world with Stanbic IBTC Pension Managers Limited as an intern in 2009 and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2010. He was an active litigator with the firm of Ayodele Akintunde & Co. where he handled several cases at the High Court and the Court of Appeal. Adeleke joined the legal team of Sahara Group Limited in 2013 after gaining quality experience in the courts of law and dispute resolution. He is an Associate member of the Certified Institute of Shipping.”
Olayide “Laide” Olufemi
Executive Director – Corporate Services
Laide is the Executive Director - Corporate Services. His career began as Administration Officer with Phil Associates in 1986. He joined CAMAC (Nigeria) in 1994 and has 27 years relevant experience in Administration & Human Resources. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering and a Master’s degree in Public Administration. He is a member of the Fellow, Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered), Member Nigerian Institute of Training and Development, Associate Member Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria. Fellow, Institute Credit Administration. He played a very active role in the change of management and restructuring exercise carried out in the company in 2006 and 2007. He has attended several managerial courses and retreats in Nigeria, Europe and United States.
Laide is married with children.
General Manager, Finance and Accounts
Jude is the General Manager of the Finance and Accounts Department. He has 25 years working experience as a professional accountant acquired in the banking industry. He has brought his exposure and experience to bear in the operations and on the management team of CAMAC Nigeria Limited. He has a B.Sc. Accounting and M.Sc. in Finance both from Nigerian Universities. His career started in 1989 with International Merchant Bank Plc. (IMB) which in the course of recent bank consolidation merged with other banks and emerged as First Inland Bank. He moved to the then FSB International Bank that also merged with Fidelity Bank Plc in 2000 as the Financial Controller before joining Allied Energy Resources in 2006. Jude is a member of the Chartered Institute of Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), Chartered Institute of Bankers (CIBN), Chartered Institute of Pension of Nigeria (CIPN), Chartered Institute of Stock Brokers (CIS). He has attended several managerial courses and retreats in Nigeria and United States.
